Situated in a heritage conservation area this project retained the old house to the street frontage and created a new light filled addition to the rear with a strong connection to the garden. The design incorporates a highly articulated roof scape that funnels light down into the southern end of the addition and a split level ground plane that gradually steps down the site over two levels from the street to the lower garden area.
